阪永珠水

Tamami Sakanaga

Born in Yokohama, raised in Setagaya, Tokyo. Graduated from the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, and subsequently from the Faculty of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts, majoring in Violin. During her undergraduate studies, she developed an interest in early music and began studying baroque violin. She later completed a Master's degree in Early Music at the university's Graduate School of Music. Upon graduation, she received the Doseikai Award, and upon completing her Master's degree, she was awarded the Graduate School Acanthus Music Prize. She has studied under Ikuko Makino, Yuko Iwasaki, Fuminori Shinozaki, Natsumi Tamai, and Natsumi Wakamatsu. In 2018, she moved to Europe to pursue more specialized studies in early music. At Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland, she studied historical performance practices and theory from the Renaissance to the Romantic period under Amandine Beyer, completing her Master's degree with highest honors. She performed extensively throughout Europe, primarily in Switzerland, before returning to Japan in September 2023. She is currently based in Tokyo.
